Hurricanes sign controversial veteran DeAngelo

Controversial free-agent Tony DeAngelo, 25, the veteran defenseman seven months removed from his tumultuous exit from the New York Rangers, agreed to a one-year, $1 million deal with the Carolina Hurricanes Wednesday.
