Attorney general to be grilled by lawmakers in first public appearance after Mueller report
Tuesday, 9 April 2019 Attorney General William Barr will be on Capitol Hill in his first major public appearance since he received the special counsel's report from Robert Mueller last month. Barr is scheduled to testify about next year's budget request for the Justice Department. The Russia investigation is also expected to come up. Nancy Cordes reports.
After a line of questioning in which Rep. Nita Lowey (D-NY) asked Attorney General William Barr if the White House had been briefed on the Mueller report, beyond the released summary, Barr refused to give any further details.
