Hollywood Reacts to Mueller Report: ‘Trump is F—ed’

The Wrap Thursday, 18 April 2019
Hollywood Reacts to Mueller Report: ‘Trump is F—ed’Hollywood reacted Thursday as a redacted version of Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s Russia investigation report was released to the public, with a number of Trump critics interpreting the report’s findings as evidence of wrongdoing by the president.

Although Mueller’s team was unable to establish that the president was guilty of any crimes, it laid out damning evidence that Trump repeatedly tried to exert “undue influence” over both the Russian-interference and obstruction investigations.

Director Rob Reiner was unequivocal: “Prima Facie: Trump is guilty as hell.”

Rosie O’Donnell, a vocal critic of the president, put it more colloquially: “Trump is f—ed,” she tweeted.

“The View” host Ana Navarro said she didn’t “know how anyone can read [the] Mueller Report and conclude Trump did not attempt time and time again to obstruct justice. Republicans in Congress are going to do just that. They will let Trump get away with it. It is up to American voters to hold him accountable. Vote him out!”

“Will & Grace” star Debra Messing seemed to agree, retweeting her message along with the word, “THIS.”

Among the more dramatic revelations in the report was a description of how President Trump reacted to Mueller’s appointment in May 2017.

“Oh my God,” the President said, according to the report. “This is the end of my Presidency. I’m f—ed.”

Actress and activist Alyssa Milano tweeted a meme quoting the president’s reaction along with the caption: “It is my opinion that an innocent man wouldn’t say the below words out loud. But that’s just me.”

Lightly redacted huh ? pic.twitter.com/GCk1gfrS8O

I’m sure those redactions are all TOTALY legit –
The “National security” threat – is the criminal prez and his criminal Ag

— John Cusack (@johncusack) April 18, 2019

Conspiracy -obstruction
Mueller believes justice can’t indite a sitting president – impeachment is the remedy – congress the court and judge –
Get on with it – already

Bill Barr is the Michael Cohen of Jeff Sessionses.

— Jeffrey Wright (@jfreewright) April 18, 2019

“At the same time, if we had confidence after a thorough investigation of the facts that the President clearly did not commit obstruction of justice, we would so state. Based on the facts and the applicable legal standards, we are unable to reach that judgment.”

— Jamie Lee Curtis (@jamieleecurtis) April 18, 2019

I’m not counting on even a Dem led House to do what’s right, so I’d never thought the Mueller report would solve all our problems (We will; through direct action, unions, strikes, protests, primarying, etc) but holy shit it is damning & the president is a garden variety criminal.

— rob delaney (@robdelaney) April 18, 2019

I wish a reporter would have asked Barr if Mueller finished with his investigation unimpeded or if he was asked by anyone to conclude it or if funding was stopped in any way.

— Patricia Arquette (@PattyArquette) April 18, 2019

At least now we can put the whole Russia question behind us.

— Michael Ian Black (@michaelianblack) April 18, 2019

Best performance from a puppet goes to #WilliamBarr — There are campaign finance law & financial corruption illegalities that disqualify Trump from office, not to mention the emoluments clause he is knowingly currently violating. All outside of Mueller’s scope to investigate.

— Jonathan Van Ness (@jvn) April 18, 2019

Glad the report helps us get to the bottom of things. https://t.co/W4fkWa7Mxb

Trump's time in office is a good reminder that there are people who can look past anything, say anything, open their window, see a tornado made of fire and say "beautiful day for tennis." https://t.co/4BauIN5xw0

I never knew before today that the Attorney General is a personal defense attorney for the President of the United States. Cool beans.

— Josh Gad (@joshgad) April 18, 2019

Just stunning to see the Attorney General in the role of Trump’s personal attorney

— Mia Farrow (@MiaFarrow) April 18, 2019

I do and 70% of Americans! https://t.co/7kqDsYve1m

Opinion | The rot of corruption begins with Trump. Mueller’s findings will only add to that story. https://t.co/3RFoGPYlbl
