How to Watch ‘Dog the Bounty Hunter’ Star Beth Chapman’s Funeral

The Wrap Saturday, 13 July 2019
How to Watch ‘Dog the Bounty Hunter’ Star Beth Chapman’s FuneralThe funeral for Beth Chapman, wife of Duane “Dog the Bounty Hunter” Chapman, will be live-streamed from Heritage Christian Center in Aurora, Colorado on July 13. Fans can say their final goodbyes to the “Dog the Bounty Hunter” and “Dog and Beth: On the Road” star from anywhere in the world.

The funeral will be live-streamed from WGNAmerica.com and the “Dog’s Most Wanted” Facebook page from 1-3 p.m. PT/4-6 p.m. ET.  Doors for the Colorado service, which is also open to the public, will open at 1 p.m. MT. The service will begin at 2 p.m. MT.

Chapman died two weeks ago from throat and lung cancer at age 51. On June 26, Duane Chapman confirmed her death in a tweet, writing, “It’s 5:32 in Hawaii, this is the time she would wake up to go hike Koko Head mountain. Only today, she hiked the stairway to heaven. We all love you, Beth. See you on the other side.”

Beth was placed in a medically-induced coma the weekend prior at Hawaii’s Queen’s Medical Center amid her battle with Stage 2 throat cancer. She was given a memorial service in Hawaii and cremated, as per her final wishes.

Born Alice Elizabeth “Beth” Smith in Denver, Colorado on October 29, 1967, Beth met Dog in 1986 when she was 19. Their on-again, off-again romance continued for 10 years that followed, with each marrying others during that time.

Their relationship took both a personal and professional turn in 1995 when they moved in together and joined forces in business. Beth became the youngest licensed bail bondsman in Colorado’s history at age 29 and ran their bail bonds office while Dog went bounty hunting. They married in 2006.

Dog sat down with “Entertainment Tonight” to discuss his wife’s death. “For two to three years, she knew this might happen. So she would say, ‘Who is going to sit next to you?’ And I said, ‘No one,'” he said in the interview. “‘Big Daddy, you better not let another girl take my place.’ I said, ‘I won’t.'”

“Dog the Bounty Hunter” ran for eight seasons from 2004 to 2012, and its spinoff “Dog and Beth: On the Hunt” aired 2013-2015. WGN America will launch a new series “Dog’s Most Wanted” in 2020.
