Israel bars Congresswomen Tlaib and Omar from visiting
Thursday, 15 August 2019 Israel says U.S. Representatives Ilhan Omar and Rashida Tlaib will not be allowed to enter the country on a trip they had planned. The two have been outspoken supporters of Palestinian rights. Former Israeli Consul General Ido Aharoni, now a professor at NYU, joined CBSN to discuss the decision.
Israel will bar a visit by U.S. Democratic Congresswomen Rashida Tlaib and Ilhan Omar, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said on Thursday, shortly after U.S. President Donald Trump called on Israel not to let them in. Jonah Green reports.
