Updated with Nielsen numbers for Univision and Telemundo: “Grey’s Anatomy” pulled ABC away from a Thursday logjam, when CBS, Fox and NBC all tied for third place in the key demo. But the Disney-owned network wasn’t actually broadcast’s winner in ratings among adults 18-49 — that victory went to Spanish-language network Univision, which aired awards show “Premio Lo Nuestro 2020.”

The strength of “Young Sheldon” and the relative softness of “A Million Little Things” allowed CBS to finish first in total viewers, besting ABC by a primetime average of 600,000 more audience members.

Univision and the others weren’t even close in that Nielsen metric.

Univision was first in ratings with a 1.0 rating/5 share, airing the celebration of Spanish-language music throughout primetime. It was fourth in total viewers with 2.7 million.

ABC was second in ratings with a 0.9 rating/5 share in the advertiser-coveted 18-49 demographic and third in total viewers with an average of 5.3 million, according to preliminary numbers. “Station 19” at 8 p.m. put up a 1.0 rating and 9 million viewers. At 9, “Grey’s” posted a 1.1 and 6 million viewers. “A Million Little Things” at 10 had a 0.6 and 3.7 million viewers.

CBS, Fox and NBC all tied for third in ratings, each with a 0.6/3. CBS was first in total viewers with 5.9 million, Fox was third with 3.1 million, NBC was fifth with 2.5 million.
