To remediate or demolish? Smithtown to consider action on long-vacant downtown building damaged by fire

The Smithtown Town Board has set a hearing on Dec. 14 for the severely damaged former medical offices at 57 Main St. A referendum on sewer expansion in the area is also set for the same day.
