In a week where it appeared Facebook would be facing fines following their inability to protect users over the Cambridge Analytica scandal earlier this year, the social network was further rocked by hack-related news. It’s thought that hackers behind a breach of up to 120 million different Facebook accounts have been selling private messages via direct profile brokering. Up to 81,000 profiles and their private messages are thought to have been offered up online – with users in Eastern and Central Europe thought to have been the primary targets involved.
