White House denies report China's Liu He plans to leave Washington on Thursday: CNBC
Thursday, 10 October 2019 The White House has denied a report from the South China Morning Post that said that Chinese Vice Premier Liu He is planning to leave Washington on Thursday after just one day of minister-level meetings, a CNBC reporter said on Twitter.
U.S. President Donald Trump announced a Friday meeting with Chinese Vice Premier Liu He as teams for both sides met for the first time since July in an attempt to end a 15-month trade war. Conway G. Gittens has more.
CNBC reports that Instacart is raising $225 million. That boosts its valuation from $8 billion in 2018 to $13.7 billion. The company plans to use these new funds to support its partner grocers and shoppers, who fulfill orders for customers. They are also planning to improve conditions for its shoppers. DoorDash is also close to raising funds at a $15 billion valuation. DoorDash was valued at around $13 billion in 2019, according to The Wall Street Journal.
Former CNBC anchor Michelle Caruso-Cabrera is running a primary challenge to Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez.
