Shaun White Surprises South Korean Chef With Visit To Eat $920 Burger Named After Him
A South Korean chef got the surprise of his life when U.S. Olympic Snowboarder Shaun White walked through his doors.
Reuters reports that Santa Burger owner Cha Gwen Sol is a huge fan of White’s and created a special burger just for him called “The Flying Tomato.” Cha priced the burger at a million-won which equates to about $920, thinking nobody would ever order it.
But when the man himself walked into his restaurant to order the burger, he ended up giving it to White for free.
Saying, “Is it real?
This is Shaun White?
It is not a dream?
Shaun White tells me it is real.
Oh my God, unbelievable.” White will be competing in the halfpipe qualifiers on Tuesday.
And both Cha and his menu say they hope that White will medal again, “I think everyday, return of the king, return of the king.”
The South Korean president's decision to let North Korea compete at the Winter Olympics runs the risk of angering US leaders, who remain sceptical about Pyongyang's motives.
