Former Charleston Mayor Joe Riley will be teaching a new course at the Citadel focused on the future of IAAM.

Joe Riley to Teach Course on African American History Museum

Do have some hot days are forecast i'll tell you if valentine's days few of those hot days that come into my truck since former marriage rallies at the head of the class he's teaching a course over the sill the summer semester actually he has something new of his papa soros sleep our body heart.

Joining us with more on that brand new course was all about reading as al their eyelids classes focused on the future international african american museum really his inspiration for the best part though is it's free and open to the hears the renderings now but that museum i look like but today's class is at the holliday alumni center at the citadel hospital with their riley now professor eileen he told me he's honored to do the citadel cadets every week for this course.

Now some of that is examining old south carolina textbooks that distorted the subject of slavery but there's also guest speakers in today's guest speaker is doctor cleveland sellers who was shot in the orangeburg massacre fifty years ago and there riley told me he's learning a lot himself through this course to listen to what he hopes everyone else gets out of it inspiring to all of us we too can make a difference.

I think for young people with hopefully a long life ahead of them to be reminded that they can and that they should construction should start on that museum this summer hopefully be done by about twenty twenty days classes number five in the whole series of classes but all those are open to the today just in a larger
