According to a report by CNN, US and UK defense officials have released the names of two troops who were killed in an improvised explosive device attack in the Manbij area of Syria this week.

Officials said that 36 year-old US Army Master Sgt.

Johnathan Dunbar of Austin, Texas, and British soldier Sgt.

Matt Tonroe died as a result of the explosion on Thursday.

Five others were also injured in the blast.
