NFL's Roger Goodell Wants Sports Betting To Be Standardized By Congress
NFL commissioner Roger Goodell wants Congress to oversee sports betting now that states are free to make it legal.
He specifically wants sports betting standardized with 'four cour principles.'
Three of the principles feel like no-brainers, but it's the fourth principle that's likely to receive a lot of pushback from casinos and sportsbooks.
The NFL appears to be establishing a position in which it wants to receive some of the revenue from sports betting.
This is being called an "integrity fee" by industry insiders.
The NBA has also suggested a similar fee.
