North America Wins Bid For 2026 World Cup
According to Reuters, North America will host the 2026 World Cup.
The 68th FIFA Congress voted to jointly host the Cup across Mexico, Canada, and the United States in an overwhelming vote over Morocco.
Held in Moscow, FIFA's Congress voted for North America over the North African country due to expected revenue.
The North American countries estimated the Cup could generate upwards of $11 billion in revenue for FIFA, while Morocco estimated a North African hosted Cup would draw in $5 billion in revenue.
