Natural gas leak in Sioux City

That was tim:downtown residents had to steer clear of-- 35-th and jackson street-- due to a gas leak earlier today.

The leak broke out shortly after 9 this morning-- when a private contractor hit a natural gas line.

No homes were evacuated-- and no injuries have been reported.

Several fire crews and midamerican energy workers-- were on scene working to fix the leak.
