The Talk - Patti LaBelle on Aretha Franklin Tribute & Photo Mishap: "It was a big mistake"
Patti LaBelle shares details about performing in the CBS' upcoming "Aretha!
A GRAMMY Celebration for the Queen of Soul" tribute on March 10th.
"Everything about it was to the top, the best.
She's the best singer ever in the world.
There will never be another queen.
She is the queen and I was so happy that they included me in the ceremony.
Before she passed, she had planned everybody on the show... and when it got the call, I said, 'Thank you, Jesus.'
LaBelle reveals she's performed Franklin's hit song, "Call Me" and adds, "Everybody was there, Jennifer [Hudson], Celine [Dion], everybody...Fantasia [Barrino].
It was phenomenal, John Legend and Patti LaBelle has her moment.
I think I was the middle of the show and I almost lost it... She meant a whole lot to me." On Fox news mistakenly using LaBelle's photo instead of Franklin's while reporting her passing, she says, "It was big mistake, and I didn't mind, you know.
She's gone and I'm here, and I'm going to celebrate her until I leave."
