Reducing substance abuse was the focus of the Community Mental Health annual breakfast Monday morning.

THE STATE IS LOOKING FOR NEWWAYS TO REDUCE SUBSTANCE ABUSEIN MICHIGAN.THAT WAS THE FOCUS OF THE"COMMUNITY MENTAL HEALTH" ANNUALBREAKFAST THISMORNING.BOOTHS WERE SET UP TO SHOWATTENDEES THE RESOURCES THAT AREAVAILABLE TO THEMIN CASE THEY SUFFER FROMSUBSTANCE ABUSE OR KNOW SOMEONEWHO DOES."THAT IT IS APART OF BEHAVIORALHEALTH.

IT IS A CONCERN, BUT ITHINKMY MOST IMPORTANT MESSAGE ANDTHE ONE THAT I WANT TO GETTHROUGH IS THAT RECOVERY ISPOSSIBLE.

THERE IS HOPE.

IF YOU WANT HELP, HELP ISHERE."THE STATE ALSO HONORED PEOPLEWHO ARE WORKING TO FIGHTSUBSTANCE ABUSE.THE STATE HAS SEEN A HUGEINCREASE IN THE NUMBER OF PEOPLEHOSPITALIZED FOROPIOID ABUSE IN RECENT YEARS.
