Scarlett Johansson and her fellow Avengers attended a special "Avengers: Endgame" fan event in London's West End on Wednesday evening (April 10) and spoke about the "weird" character theories fans have - or kept silent, as in the case of characters, Ant-Man and Thanos.
"I haven't really heard that many fan theories about my character," Johansson who plays former Russian spy turned Avenger, 'Black Widow' told Reuters.
"Apparently, there is some really weird fan theory about Ant-Man and Thanos ... It's just too, it's very..." "It involves Ant-man going into a dark and mysterious place(s).
Yeah, fill in the blank," joked actor Paul Rudd who plays Ant-Man, an Avenger who can shrink to the size of an ant.
Co-director Anthony Russo suggested looking up on the internet about how fans believe Ant-Man brings down the evil nemesis Thanos (played by Josh Brolin), after the latter devastated events in last year's film, "Avengers: Infinity War".
It saw key Avengers vapourised when faced with the mighty enemy.
"Endgame" sees Brie Larson as 'Captain Marvel' finally joining the depleted team, a character who recently had her own solo movie outing.
Actor Chris Hemsworth who plays 'Thor' dismissed theories from fans that the trailer suggests the king of the Norse gods and the new female superhero have a relationship in this, but did not rule it out all together in the future.
"Thor and Captain Marvel have a brief interaction and everyone's like, 'oh, is there a relationship, a love story?'
I'm like I don't think we have time for a love story in this particular journey," Hemsworth said.
Johansson also said how "cool" rumours of an all-female Marvel superhero film in the making would be, extending the Marvel Universe after "Endgame".
"Anything is possible, but I will say is these movies are so fan-driven and I think Marvel is always listening," she said.
Fans attending on the night were shown eight minutes of footage from the new film.
"Avengers: Endgame" that co-stars Robert Downey Jr. as 'Iron Man' and Chris Evans as 'Captain America' is released from April 24 worldwide, and April 26 in the U.S. (Production: Lisa Giles-Keddie)
