Gut Punch: FBI Raids Microbiome-Testing Startup

UBiome's co-founders and co-CEOs Jessica Richman and Zac Apte have been placed on administrative leave.

According to Business Insider, the move comes after the FBI raided uBiome's San Francisco offices.

The startup sells tests that sequences the microbiome, or the assortment of bacteria and other microbes that live in the body.

The company has named uBiome's general counsel John Rakow as interim CEO.

To date, the company has raised $105 million from investors.
