Michael Avenatti pleads not guilty to extortion charges and defrauding Stormy Daniels

According to Reuters, lawyer Michael Avenatti pleaded not guilty on Tuesday to charges that he extorted Nike, just hours after entering a not-guilty plea to defrauding porn star Stormy Daniels.

Daniels is the client who propelled Avenatti to fame as an outspoken adversary of U.S. President Donald Trump.

Earlier this year, Daniels dropped Avenatti as her lawyer.
