Paul Manafort, President Donald Trump's former campaign chairman, has been sentenced to solitary confinement at Rikers Island in NYC.

Rep.

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is not happy with the sentence.

The Democratic Socialist argued that solitary confinement is a form of torture, and thus a human rights violation.

Ocasio-Cortez represents the Bronx-Queens district that contains Rikers Island.

Manafort is currently serving a more than seven-year federal prison sentence in Pennsylvania.
