On Mexico Border, Republican Business Owner Breathe Sigh Of Relief

Republican business owners operating near the US border with Mexico say President Donald Trump’s lingering threat to impose tariffs on imports from Mexico is terrible policy.

According to Reuters, Trump has threatened to start with a 5% tariff on imports from Mexico unless its government stems the flow of Central American migrants across the U.S.-Mexico border.

On Friday, Trump backed down from imposing the tariff, saying Mexico had agreed to help stem the illegal border traffic.
