Michael Avenatti Gets Sued For Allegedly Siphoning Former Clients's $4 Million Settlement

A former paraplegic client sued Michael Avenatti for allegedly siphoning a $4 million settlement he won.

According to Reuters, the man is seeking at least $9.5 million, plus punitive damages, from Avenatti.

He said: “I never thought I would get victimized by my own attorney.” This lawsuit comes after a criminal case against Avenatti accuses him of wire fraud, bank fraud, extortion and other charges.

Avenatti said the claims from his former client are “categorically false and frivolous.”
