House Expected To Vote On Senate Border Bill Sans Amendments

Democratic Representative Henry Cuellar said on Thursday the U.S. House of Representatives is expected to vote Thursday on a Senate-passed border aid bill without any amendments.

According to Reuters, Democrats are giving up for now their effort to force changes in the treatment of migrants at the U.S. border with Mexico.

Earlier, House Democrats had planned to amend the Senate’s $4.6 billion aid bill to add protections for migrant children.
