Simona Halep Beats Serena Williams At Winbledon

Simona Halep won the first Wimbledon for Romanians, beating Serena Williams 6-2 6-2.

According to CNN, Williams has not competed as much due to a knee injury this season.

Even so, Williams said Halpe “played out of her mind.” Duchess of Sussex Meghan Markle and Duchess of Cambridge Kate Middleton arrived to the match.

Williams is known to be a close friend of Markle, being one of the few invited to her wedding.
