Next Dem debate will feature Biden-Harris rematch

Joe Biden and Kamala Harris will have the chance for a re-match - during the second Democratic presidential debates later this month.

They go head-to-head on day two.

Host CNN says the first night, July 30th, will see Elizabeth Warren square off with Bernie Sanders in a fight for the party's progressive wing.

They'll share the stage with more moderate, lesser-known candidates.

CNN held a live, randomized drawing to divide the four front runners.

The first round of debates in Miami last month shifted the race among a crowded field of Democrats competing to take on President Trump in 2020.

Polls tightened after a breakout performance by Harris, who confronted front-runner Biden over his record on race during an NBC News debate.

To qualify for July's debates in Detroit, candidates have to have 65,000 donors, including at least 200 individual donors in 20 different states, or register 1% support in three qualifying public opinion polls.

That meant five candidates including House Rep Seth Moulton and billionaire Tom Steyer won't have their say.

The Democrats plan at least 12 debates during the race for nomination.
