Trump Denies The Arrest Of 17 CIA Spies In Tehran

President Donald Trump denied Iran arresting 17 people accused of being CIA spies by Tehran.

According to Reuters, reports said some were being sentenced to death, which Trump said was false.

Trump said the reports are “more lies and propaganda” by a failing regime that “has no idea what to do.” While such reports are not unusual in Iran, the timing raised concerns over tensions with the U.S. The report comes after Washington said it shot down an Iranian drone, which Tehran denied.
