Outgoing UK Prime Minister Theresa May finished her final prime minister’s questions session on July 24 with a parting shot at the Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn, urging him to follow her lead and resign from party leadership.
Boris Johnson was set to replace May as prime minister.
Some cordial words were said during the pair’s final exchange, with Corbyn expressing admiration for May’s sense of duty and May recounting the care Corbyn showed to his constituents following the Finsbury Park mosque attack.
However May fired back at Corbyn’s representation of her time in government, accusing him of playing party politics and walking away from cross-party Brexit talks.
