Rep.

John Ratcliffe (R-TX) may replace Director of National Intelligence Dan Coats.

Ratcliffe is a staunchly conservative former federal prosecutor and ex-mayor of Heath, TX, population 6,900.

He attempted to discredit Special Counsel Robert Mueller during his testimony before Congress last Wednesday.

According to Splinter, Ratcliffe's performance earned him a tweet by Donald Trump Jr. PolitiFact asserts Ratliffe made a false claim when trying to discredit Mueller.
