With a north huskies squad trying to make a move to the front of the pack.
The catchphrase last year was "trust the process".
So we were trusting the change with the coaching staff and the new philosophy.

One of the big reasons for optimism surrounding the north program is the return of running back dylan mckinney.
Injuries robbed the versatile back of his junior year, though he still managed to rack up 600 yards and six touchdowns rushing.
Now with mckinney once again in the backfield, the husky offense appears ready to roll.
He's a big part of what we're wanting to try to do.
We want to try to get our athletes in space and get the ball to them.
Teams are obviously going to have to identify him.
It opens up things for other kids.
Last year, we were more of a run first offense.
This year, we're planning to spread it out a little more.
Our running game is based on just banging it in there, trying to get whatever we can out of it.
On the defensive side of the ball, the unit, which is mostly intact, will look to improve from the squad that gave up 40 or more points in seven games a year ago.
We feel really good about our db's.

Up front, our ?line, we lost some guys, so we're not going to have a whole lot of depth but we feel pretty good about the guys that we have there right now.
I feel great all around about our defense this year.

Now the huskies open up the season on the road... as they take on their route 41 brethren from princeton friday august 23rd, and then it's back here to the cozy confines of bundrandt stadium to take on henderson county the following friday.
