Trump Says The US Needs More Mental Institutions To Deal With Mass Shootings

President Donald Trump recently said he supports meaningful background checks for gun buyers.He said those responsible for mass shootings are mentally ill and that the U.S. needs more mental institutions.

According to Reuters, Trump said he has been discussing the gun violence problem with many Republicans.

He said “they don’t want to have insane people, dangerous people, really bad people having guns.” The president has faced pressure to deal with the growing gun violence in the U.S. after mass shootings in Texas and Ohio.
