The president and organization are arguing over possible legislation requiring background checks for gun purchases.

According to Business Insider, a staff member inside the White House is frustrated with the NRA.

The source said Trump thinks the NRA “is playing games with the White House.” At first, Trump seemed to support new gun legislation, but after a talk with the NRA he reversed his stance.
