In a video posted to a Team Malizia social media account, Thunberg appears in high spirits despite the rough conditions on the deck of the eco-friendly Malizia II.

Thunberg and her sailing team, en route to a United Nations summit in New York, crossed the halfway point in their journey last Tuesday (August 20).

The teenager, who shot to global fame last year after she started missing school every Friday to demonstrate outside the Swedish parliament, is taking a year off school to travel around the Americas and further her campaign for stronger action against climate change.
