President Donald Trump made an “agreement in principle” on trade with Japan.
According to CNN, this deal with Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe brings relief to American farmers.
The deal gives farmers the same level of access to the Japanese market as Obama’s past deal.
Much wouldn’t have changed if Trump had not pulled out of the Obama-era Trans-Pacific Partnership.
Pulling out of TPP was one of Trump’s first acts as President, saying he wanted to negotiate bilateral deals.
