President Donald Trump canceled a visit to Poland as Florida braces for Hurricane Dorian, which is forecast to make landfall on the Atlantic coast Monday as a dangerous Category 4 storm.

Freddie Joyner reports.

The storm looks like it could be a very, very big one indeed." On Thursday, Florida declared a state of emergency for the entire state, while Georgia made an emergency declaration for some southern counties.

Dorian has been forecast to hit Puerto Rico as a Category 1 hurricane, but the island dodged the worst of the storm’s wrath.

On Wednesday, Trump criticized Puerto Rico in a series of tweets that called out the U.S. territory as for being unprepared for Hurricane Maria back in 2017 and described the island as one of the “most corrupt places on Earth.” Now that Trump is staying for the hurricane, he'll miss a World War II commemoration ceremony this weekend in Poland.

Denmark’s Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen called the proposal to buy the autonomous Danish territory “absurd.” (SOUNDBITE)(ENGLISH) U.S. PRESIDENT DONALD TRUMP, SAYING: "not nice...”
