Apple Watch Begins: What Jim Cramer Is Watching In the Markets

Consider this your survival guide for the week.

Jim Cramer and Action Alerts PLUS research analyst Zev Fima broke down everything you need to navigate your Monday from a preview of Apple's upcoming "By Innovation Only" event to a breakdown of the latest data out of China.

What's Going on in China?

China caught investor attention once again after new data suggested a slump in exports out of China, particularly to the United States.

Are we finally seeing the impact of President Trump's trade war?

Jim Cramer wrote in a recent Real Money column that it's hard to gauge the state of the Chinese economy based on data.

"A command economy can pretty much print whatever numbers it wants.

If President Xi wants to remain president for life it is presumed that he has to keep the economy humming at north of 6% growth.

If it doesn't hit that target then then the numbers are presumed to be jiggered to come up with something that can be adjusted higher," Cramer wrote.

Is export data enough to gauge the impact of the trade war?

The Apple of Our Eye Apple is expected to unveil new iPhone designs among a slew of new products during its "By Innovation Only" event Tuesday.

Are we looking at a new iPhone supercycle or another reason for investors to focus more on Apple's other products and services?

Cramer's next members-only Action Alerts PLUS conference call kicks off on Wednesday, September 11 LIVE at 11:30 ET.
