Zindzi Mandela, daughter of anti-apartheid icons Nelson and Winnie Mandela, has died at the age of 59. Zindzi, who was Nelson and Winnie Mandela's youngest daughter, died early Monday morning. She was born in 1960 to Nelson, South Africa’s first black president, and Winnie, an anti-apartheid activist. The 59-year-old woman was a political activist and South Africa's ambassador to Denmark. Zindzi Mandela is survived by her husband and four children. Her cause of death has not been released.
Dame Vera Lynn has been honoured with a flypast in her beloved East Sussex village ahead of her funeral.Two Second World War fighter planes soared over Ditchling to remember the late singer.The aircraft made three passes over the quiet village before leaving to applause from the crowd.The adored singer, who entertained troops with morale-boosting visits to the front line during the Second World War, died aged 103 on June 18.

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh paid tribute to Mahatma Gandhi's statue at Indian embassy in Moscow on June 23. Defence Minister is on a three-day visit to Moscow. He will attend a military parade in Russia's capital to mark the 75th anniversary of Soviet victory over Nazi Germany in Second World War. Singh will also hold talks on ways to further strengthen India-Russia defence and strategic partnership.
