"No one is to small to have an impact and change the world," sixteen-year-old Thunberg said of her meeting with Obama, in video that was distributed by the Obama Foundation.

She has been in Washington since last week to join U.S. and indigenous activists to build up support for a global climate strike on Friday and pressure lawmakers to take action on climate change.

She attracted international attention last year when she started missing school on Fridays to protest against political inaction on climate change.
