In Blacksburg, hundreds of people gathered to protest President Donald Trump's executive order on immigration.

Hundreds across the country make their voices heard on president donald trump's immigration ban.

A senior administration official calls it a success story.

But many disagree.

The temporary halt to the u.s. refugee program sparked protests and rallies across the country- including here in our area.

Wdbj7's eamon o'meara is live in blacksburg tonight where a rally is underway chris and jean, this is what's being called a no ban, no wall rally.

The point is to stand strong with immigrant, refugee, and undocumented people according to organizers.

The rally is being put on by coalition for justice, techdreamers, united feminist movement, muslim student association (vt), usas, young democratic socialists.

This comes a little more than a week after a similar rally and protest took place starting at this very lawn and marching through the streets and into virginia tech to protest president trump's inauguration.

Organizers say it's important for the country to stand together margaret breslau/coalition for justice chair: well i think it's important to claim your space in your community.
