Russian officials in Moscow announced that Russian units are now carrying out patrols in northern Syria.

According to a U.S. official, U.S. troops have indeed withdrawn from the Syrian town of Manbij.

A U.S. military spokesman would not confirm the presence of Russian troops in the town.
