Low: 70?wednesday: showers and thunderstorms before noon, then cloudy skies and turning cooler.

High: 76?

Wednesday will be another changing day.

Showers and thunderstorms will be possible during the morning hours before a cold front slides its way through acadiana.

This will switch our wind direction to northerly, bringing in drier, cooler air.

Lows wednesday night will be in the mid 50s, with some upper 40s possible in our inland parishes.

Thursday will be a cool and mostly cloudy day as the front stalls just offshore.

We will see 50s again for lows thursday night.

Friday, a warm up begins and our attention turns to a tropical wave in the southern gulf.

This tropical wave will move northward toward the louisiana coast, bringing some gusty winds and heavy rain at times.

Where exactly the wave goes will determine a lot about rain chances this weekend.

The farther east it goes, the drier we would be.

If it moves closer to acadiana, rain chances would be higher.

Also, it is possible that this wave tries to develop into a tropical depression before moving onshore.

The nation hurricane center has outlined this area for a low chance of development.

Regardless of development, the main threat would be heavy rain.

Elsewhere in the tropics, tropical depression 15 formed off the coast africa.
