On the 30th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall, the Foreign Office interviewed Sir Christopher Mallaby, former ambassador to West Germany, and Colin Munro, former deputy head of mission at the British Embassy in East Berlin.

They reflect on the events of November 9 1989, the British embassies' efforts to help families separated by the wall and what it was like to witness this historic moment first-hand.
