Trump-Appointed Judge Rules Against Trump In Tax Return Legal Kerfuffle
House Democrats got one step closer on Monday to having a look at President Donald Trump's tax returns.
Trump now can't prevent House Democrats from taking advantage of a recently passed New York law.
According to Politico, the law is designed to give them access to his state tax filings.
Trump appointee Judge Carl Nichols ruled that his Washington, D.C., court was not the proper place to hear the case.
However, House Democrats have demonstrated little interest in taking advantage of the law.
