Before the secretary of state even officially announced the results, the governor held a press conference to concede.
Bevin said the recanvass results did show some errors with absentee ballots not being counted, but still, he says that wasn't enough to change the outcome.

And what i want is to see the absolute best for kentucky.
I'm not going to contest these numbers that have come in.
I truly wish the attorney general well as the next governor of this state as he assumes these responsibilities.

Bevin touted all the work he's done for kentucky.he mentioned bringing more jobs in and being one of the first governors to fund the pension system.
He thanked his staff for their hard work over the last four years.
The governor says he expects a smooth transition.and he says his office has already been working with governor elect andy beshear's to ensure that.
The governor elect spoke soon after about the recanvass at the kentucky education association.

It is time that we come together as a commonwealth."
Beshear says he's happy bevin accepts the results of this race.
He addded he'llbe inviting every governor including bevin to his inauguration.
Governor elect beshear is set to be sworn into office just about a month from now... december 10th.
