Two Jail Workers Charged in Connection to Jeffrey Epstein’s Death.
According to a recent report by the ‘New York Times,’ two federal workers are expected to be arrested and charged for their part in Jeffrey Epstein’s suicide.
.
The Bureau of Prisons employees who were responsible for monitoring Epstein on the day of his death, Aug.
10, reportedly failed to perform the proper safety checks.
.
Epstein, who was awaiting trial on sex-trafficking charges, was being held in a highly monitored section of the Metropolitan Correctional Center.
Rather than check on Epstein every half-hour as they were instructed, the two unidentified men fell asleep for hours.
.
They then attempted to falsify records in order to cover up their indiscretion.
.
According to the Associated Press, both corrections officers were initially offered plea deals but chose to turn them down.
.
They will now reportedly appear in the United States District Court in Manhattan on Nov.
19 to face their charges.
