Two dead after house explosion
Story at five... the two people who died in the wolfe died in the wolfe county house explosion over the weekend have been identified.
According to the wolfe county coroner, it was a married couple - 52 year old phillip vanderpool and his wife 48 year old sueann vanderpool.
The coroner says the couple was found in the basement of the home and were only there to try to figure out why their family was smelling gas.

Leonard stone like all the neighbors trying to process the heartbreaking news...that the couple killed in the blast had come over the house to see what was causing the gas smell.
The coroner identifying the husband and wife as phillip and sueann vanderpool...the son and daughter-in-law of the couple injured in the blast who lived in the now destroyed home.
"very close people to them lost their lives in this.
I'd say that's going to be incredibly difficult for them."

Two calls were made on saturday from the home about the gas smell to 9-1-1, according to dispatchers...the house exploded shortly after the second call.
According to wolfe county emergency management's facebook page - a gas company made repairs to a line on monday.
"it's going to be very very difficult to work through it.
They'll need their friends, they'll need their friends."
