Vigo County leaders receive a look at proposed 'Rocksino' under Spectacle ownership
Could a "rock-sino" be in the cards for vigo county?
Yesterday..."spectacle jack, l-l-c" unveiled possible plans for a "hard rock brand" casino in the area.
If awarded the license..."spectacle" says they hope to break ground on terre haute's east side.
News 10's alia blackburn explains "why" they're eyeing the area... and how some of "you" feel about it.
(alia) proposed renderings of a future casino show a state-of-the-art facility... with an impressive interior.... and... those with "spectacle" say they hope to build it on terre haute's eastside.
(vo) vice-president john keeler says 22-acres make up the ideal location.
He says there's a good area.... south of wal-mart east... and next to the holiday inn express.
Convenience seems to play a big role in this idea... keeler says it's neighbor to several big developments.
(sot) "it's very approximate to the airport, to interstate 70 and it was a good, flat piece of land that was available.
Additionally, there are two hotels right next door."
(vo) we have a twitter poll that's active on my page right now.
That's where we're asking you about your thoughts on this possible location.
You can head over to wthi-tv-dot-com to weigh-in on that... we're told this "rock-sino" would be about 125-million dollars to build.
It would also employ 600 people.
Like we told you tuesday..
(alia on cam) keeler hopes to bring consistent entertainment... to its 300-seat "velvet lounge".
That's along with a buffet... a hard rock caé... numerous bars... and other casino needs.
Back to you.
