Las Vegas Bowl welcome reception on Fremont Street

27 years ago the very first Las Vegas Bowl was played at Sam Boyd Stadium, and now the city is preparing once again welcoming two college teams who are ready to battle it out on the gridiron.

Members of the Boise State Broncos and the Washington Huskies spent Wednesday evening downtown for a special welcoming reception.

The two teams will face each other for the final Las Vegas Bowl at Sam Boyd Stadium on Dec.

21 at 4:30 p.m.

In 2020, the event moves to the soon-to-be home of the Raiders, Alliegent Stadium.
