Pig forced to bungee jump in China for LNY theme park stunt

CHONGQING, CHINA — As African Swine Flu continues to decimate China's oink oink population and a new SARS cousin spreading like mad within the country, it's good to see people are still in the Lunar New Year's spirit.

According to the SCMP, workers from some two-bit theme park in the Sichuan city of Chongqing decided to celebrate the opening of a bungee jump attraction by hurling an animal off of it.

Footage shows the animal-loving employees haul the 200-pound unwilling participant pig up the 70-meter tall tower.

The pig clearly isn't having any of it, but that doesn't stop park staff from suiting it up.

Porky then gets launched off the 20-story tower squealing like mad the entire way down.

And of course because the video was shared online it caused instant and massive backlash.

And by massive backlash we mean some netizens leaving some comments online.

The theme park owner told local media that since it was the opening day, they wanted to, "let the pig make the first jump because pork prices have been very high this year and recently they dropped a bit." The owner also said the cruel stunt was planned to mark the end of the Year of the Pig and the beginning of the Year of the Rat, which begins Saturday.

The theme park owner kind of sounds like a rat.

As for the hog, when asked for a quote about the whole incident it said...
