Mum feared her boob would explode after ruptured implant

A mum has told how she feared one of her boobs would explode after her implant ruptured - and her breast swelled to the size of a MELON.Hannah Packham, 30, went under the knife in 2014, boosting her confidence and boobs from a 32A to a 32D.She flaunted her "perfect boobs" for years until she noticed one was growing bigger than the other.Over the course of a week the panicked mum-of-two saw her boob swell "five times its size" and was petrified she was developing breast cancer after Googling her symptoms.  She endured "wonky boobs" for four months while medics worked out one of her implants had ruptured. While waiting for an operation to have them both removed, she had to cut the left cup out of her bras, just to accommodate her massive swollen breast.Hannah was left with "a chest of a ten-year-old", and feeling "unsexy" she lived in a hoodie for months.Hannah eventually had her new 32F implants inserted last month but said her "once perfect boobs" are now misshaped. Hannah, from Brighton, said: "It was beyond scary."It just blew up to the size of a melon. "It felt as heavy as one too. "It went five times as big.

It was like I was nine months pregnant. "Every day I would wake up and it would be just that little bit bigger and there were loads of blue veins. "As you do I googled it and I just convinced myself I had breast cancer."I just felt I couldn't be close to my husband. "I was so embarrassed."They're still not perfect but it was the best of a bad job. "I still have saggy skin on my left boob from where it stretched so much. "I used to love my perfect boobs but now I have two misshapen ones. "One is perfectly round and the other is oval shaped."Hannah first went under the knife in 2014, paying £3,800 to go from a 32A cup size to a 32D - after "years of having no boobs."For the next four years Hannah enjoyed her larger chest where she would always wear her signature V-neck to show off her "perfect boobs". Hannah said: "I had always wanted a boob job. "My sisters both had theirs done and it seemed to work out fine for them."But in October 2018 Hannah woke up on morning to find her left boob appeared a bit swollen and had "blue veins popping out". Over the next week the mum-of-two saw her left breast balloon to "the size of a melon", which prompted her to call her GP.She was referred her to her local hospital for a scan - but was told there was at least a six week waiting list.  Hannah was forced to cut the left cup of her 32D bra and was so self-conscious she wouldn't get changed in front of her husband, Daniel, 32. During her antagonising wait, Hannah was dealt a heartbreaking blow when her six-year-old daughter Ruby returned from school with a handwritten note.It said : "When will your boobies go away so you have normal boobies?"It was not until she had an MRI scan four months later doctors discovered her silicone implant had ruptured. Hannah said: "I remember waking up one morning and thought my left boob looked a bit bigger than the other one. "I didn't really get worried "But then the veins were really noticeable and it was becoming really heavy. "I phoned my doctor but I was left waiting around for ages. "It wasn't so much the pain but I had this really "I was there counting down the days thinking I was going to be told I had breast cancer. "But the delays were just torture."I didn't have any warning signs in the lead up to the swelling. "The worst thing you can do is Google it. "I was convinced I was getting breast cancer. "I'd look in the mirror and just feel incredibly unsexy. "I'd just hated it.

I felt so embarrassed."I had to wear a padded bra to bolster up the original boob. "I just out the left cup as it was the comfiest thing I could do. "It wouldn't have been the same with a sports bra and wearing nothing at all just wasn't an option as I had this dull ache in my back.

I'd get it from the moment I woke up to the minute I went to sleep. "Doctors didn't know why it suddenly ruptured. "When they took it out the doctor said it was like someone had stamped on it. "The thing is I didn't know into anything or fall over.

It just happened."After being told her silicone implant had ruptured, Hannah paid £2,000 at a local private clinic to remove both her implants in April 2019.But due to a change in company ownership, Hannah said her appointment to get her implants re-inserted "fell through the cracks".Last month she went under the knife again, having two new silicone implants inserted into her chest. She hopes to warn other women of the dangers of having plastic surgery. Hannah said: "Obviously I can't tell people not to go and get plastic surgery as I've had them done again. "But if I hadn't had them done in the first place I wouldn't have this saggy skin on my boob. "The doctors don't know why they ruptured.

It wasn't like I had a fall or was putting a lot of pressure on my chest. "But I just want to tell people of the risks involved in getting them done."
